Game 57 | January 28, 1957 | Tommy Henrich, Red Schoendienst
This year's baseball banquet featured a former Yankee great and a National League infielder in the midst of a Hall of Fame career. Henrich, nick-named "Old Reliable," was a five-time All-Star who played right field for the Yankees from 1937 to 1950. He became a Giants coach in 1957. Schoendienst, a 10-time All-Star second baseman, spent most of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals, but played with the Giants in 1956 and 1957.

Game 58 | February 20, 1957 | Bud Grant, Wayne Robinson, Bob Hobert
Hobert, a Gopher football All-American and Phi Beta Kappa selection the year before, followed Grant and Robinson from Minnesota to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. All three are members of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. Robinson, like Grant, became the Blue Bombers head coach. Grant would return to succeed Norm VanBrocklin as coach of the Minnesota Vikings in 1967.

Game 59 | April 3, 1957 | Joe Hutton
A future member of the NABC and NAIA Halls of Fame, the Hamline basketball coach turned out a series of championship teams in the 1940s and 1950s. A remarkable seven Hamline players under Hutton went on to play professionally. They included John Norlander; Howie Schultz, Rollie Seltz, Hal Haskins, Jim Fritsche, Joe Hutton Jr. and long-time Dunker Vern Mikkelsen.

Game 60 | May 7, 1957 | Jimmy Robinson
A championship marksman, Robinson was one of the most-respected and well-known outdoor writers in America. He was a founder of Ducks Unlimited in Minnesota and campaigned throughout his long newspaper career for legislation protecting Minnesota's wildlife and natural resources.

Game 61 | May 24, 1957 | Andy Cohen
A favorite of broadcaster Halsey Hall, Cohen was the second baseman for the Minneapolis Millers from 1932-1939. He played briefly with the New York Giants and was the head baseball coach at Texas Western for 17 years. He appeared before Dunkers as the manager of the rival Indianapolis Indians.

Game 62 | July 19, 1957 | Patricia McCormick, Joaquin Capilla
The Minneapolis Aquatennial often attracted well-known swimmers and divers to Minneapolis in July. This year was no exception as the event featured Mexico's Capilla, the 1956 Olympic tower diving champion, and McCormick, who won springboard and platform diving golds at that event.

Game 63 | July 23, 1957 | George James, Tuss McLaughry, Bill Fay
So, just how do All-American football teams get selected? That was the topic of the day when Dunkers heard from James, the president of the American Football Association; McLaughry, the association's secretary-treasurer; and Fay, the association's consultant on the topic.

Game 64 | August 27, 1957 | Gerald Micklem, Bill Campbell
The best amateur golfers from the United States and Great Britain came to Minikahda Country Club to compete for the 1957 Walker Cup. Micklem was the British captain, and Campbell captained the American team, which won 8 1/2 - 3 1/2.

Game 65 | October 4, 1957 | Dr. Frederick L. Hovde
A former Gopher football star and Rhodes Scholar; Hovde was the president of Purdue University from 1946-1971. He was the Dunkers guest of University of Minnesota president Louis Morrill as the Gophers and Boilermakers prepared to meet in football.
