JIM PALMER

A tall, right hander, Palmer played his entire career with the Baltimore Orioles (1965 to 1984). He was coming off a Cy Young-award-winning season in 1973 when he finished 22-9. He finished his career with three Cy Young awards and a record of 268-152. He was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990, receiving 92.6 percent of the votes in his first year of eligibility.
