PAUL TAGLIABUE

Game 390 | August 16, 1990 | Paul Tagliabue
It was quite a year for the Dunkers when Tagliabue became the second of three commissioners to address the group. With Jim Finks the odds-on favorite to succeed Pete Rozelle, it was Tagliabue, the league's attorney, who got the owners' nod. Never one to seek the spotlight, Tagliabue served for 16 years, during which time he avoided strikes and lockouts while overseeing the building of 17 new stadiums.
